Courtney Layton's unofficial job title is the Vice President of Client Happiness.  She's in charge of making sure that each and every HealthBridge client (close to #400 now) is pleased as punch with our caregiver services.

So, why does she spend so much time interviewing our staff?

Well, it's no secret that great caregivers lead to happy clients.

A few months ago, in one of our team sessions, I asked Courtney, "what makes our exceptional caregivers so awesome?"

Her answer has far surpassed our expectations.  She spent the last two months interviewing our top performing staff.  We call them our "Dream Team."  Unlike most employee interviews, she made no presumptions about their answers.

Instead, she asked questions like:

  • What skills make a good caregiver?
  • What makes you a superior caregiver?
  • How do you make a positive first impression?
  • What is your most important skill, in the opinion of your clients?

I'm thrilled with our Dream Team's responses.  We have learned so much about how they work, what makes them happy, and why they are so exceptional.

Over the next few weeks, we will publish the results of this study here in our news section and on our blog.

As we take what we've learned from the Dream Team and apply it to all of our staff, we expect to see wonderful improvements.

I'm proud of our team.  Their work exemplifies putting service to the client first above all else, which is our first guiding value.

Thank you,

-- Matt Johnson
