It's spring in Dallas. The crepe myrtles are starting to bloom and everyone is preparing for another hot summer.
It's also graduation season, so the newly educated are getting ready to launch their careers and lives.
Here at HealthBridge, we've had the good fortune of being surrounded by some incredibly talented people.
From our caregiving staff, who set the bar for professionalism in the industry, to our coordination team, who assemble the world's most complex jigsaw puzzle each week with surgical precision, we've had a knack for hiring top performers.
The same is true for our summer interns. From time to time, we look to some of the top schools in Texas and the Southwest for students who want to make a difference in senior care.
Here's a letter I just received from one of our alums, a McCombs School of Business student from the University of Texas:
Hey Matt,
I just wanted to tell you thanks for having me as an intern that summer. I don't think I sincerely showed my appreciation at that time, but I realize now that I would not be where I am today without that internship. Having that internship put me far ahead of my peers when I was recruiting for an internship during my sophomore year which then put me ahead of my peers for recruiting my junior year, and so on. It was a critical building block for my career path.
Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to work for you that summer; if there is any way I can help you in the future, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Imran Jivani
Imran is a guy who has his pick of top management consulting and Wall Street firms. What makes him unique and special is that he launched his career in senior care.
He demonstrated that, to him, success is measured by a social contribution as well as a financial one. He understands that meaningful social enterprises have the ability to make an impact.
We're proud that he's a HealthBridge alum. And, we hope to see him back some day.
If you (or your kids or grandkids) would make a great candidate for a HealthBridge internship, please let me know by sending me an email - matt (at) myhealthbridge dot com.
